'WIKILEAKS' GOT ARRESTED FOR 'RAPE' ?
This 'alert' came across the internet:
“Tuesday, December 7, 2010 5:23 AM
From: "CNN Breaking News"
“WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has been arrested in London, CNN confirms”.
Through a trumped-up charge of ‘rape’ and a few other relateds, a Swedish warrant for Assange’s arrest has been executed.
The embarrassed, US Government now has a chance to ‘shoot the messenger’.
Sweden was the country chosen to shut up Assange on a howdy-dowdy rape charge, because the USA has no laws that would make what Assange and his ‘WikiLeaks’ did ‘an illegal act’. Because of the nature of WikiLeaks, any such law would be in direct conflict with the First and possibly ‘most vital’ of the twenty-seven Amendments in the US Constitution.
Ratified on December 15th, 1791 and commonly referred to a ‘Freedom of the Press”, it was originally titled “Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression”, later to evolve into “Freedom of Religion, Speech, Press”.
It reads: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances”.
It is that “the freedom of speech, or of the press” that would have guaranteed an eventual US Supreme Court hearing for Assange if he had been charged with anything close to WikiLeaks itself.
For the 'caught-in-the-cookie-jar', Obama Administration, Sweden's trumped up charges avoids all of this.
The charges has no media screaming about their ‘freedom of the press’.
The charges still and most effecitvely,‘shoots the messenger’ with no First Amendment protections ever coming into question.
How devious.
How effective
How totally unethical.
SIDEBAR: The date is interesting.
Unlike the USA Government declaring war on Japan following Pearl Harbour on a December 7th, this December 7th, Obama avoided declaring war on the US Constitution's 'Freedom of the Press' by having Sweden do some prior planting and dirty work.
How did the Obama Administration do it?
Now, there are some WikiLeaks that we'd all love to read.
